OZONE THERAPY
The most profound of alternative and complementary therapies
Scientific Basis
The bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal properties of Ozone are well known. However, Ozone also has systemic effects on which significant research has been carried out:
- Medical ozone operates as a hormetic substance operating by usage in very small doses that trigger a chain of biochemical reactions
- It creates a moderate oxidative stress stimulating the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), lipoperoxides, cytokines, increasing filtration of neutrophils and activated macrophages, which beneficially affect anti-inflammatory processes, regulate the immune system, enable your blood to carry more oxygen and kill pathogens – bacteria, viruses and fungi
- These chemical reactions are well understood.
The main effects of Ozone Therapy are:

Methods
Our staff will determine which is the best mode of application
MAH
Major Autohaemotherapy
a small volume of your blood (100-200ml) is withdrawn by IV into a special purpose bottle and an equal volume of a medical grade oxygen ozone mix is added. The ozonated blood is then transfused back into your arm. The treatment is very safe and takes 30-45 mins.
Insufflation
Rectal or vaginal insufflation
a small volume of a medical grade oxygen ozone mix is insufflated via the rectum or vagina. This is an easy gentle treatment and it takes about 15 mins. More treatments are needed than via MAH, but it has similar effects. Good for people who don't want to IV.
Topical
Application to skin using a vacuum bag or suction cup
The objective is to apply a medical grade oxygen ozone gas mix to the area of skin to be treated. For lower limbs and arms, a special purpose bag is used from which the air is withdrawn prior to the oxygen ozone mix being added.
